Ricky Vaughn on Gingee’s latest ep, ‘Tambol’

(Editors note:  We at ATM are seriously impressed by Gingee’s debut ep on Party Time Society, Tambol, which was just released this morning.  But before we could get our write up together, Moombahton maestro Ricky Vaughn went out of his way to give us some nice words about this Tropical Bass masterpiece!  If you’re not familiar with Ricky’s work, check out his facebook and soundcloud!)

Ricky Vaughn (L) praises Gingee’s (R) new record for All The Machines

I had the pleasure of being apart of the final stages of the Tambol EP. Having mastered projects for Gingee before i thought i knew what to expect but wow I was blown away more than usual. Tambol really steps out of the norm when it comes to ethnic based electronic music. All of the rhythms are so authentic, making each track sound like there’s a tribe playing right there with you.  I had a lot of fun helping her finalize her vision musically.  My favorites on the project are “Sound System” (Feat MC Zulu) & “Gong Spirits”.  Gingee is definitely an artist that will continue to carve out her path in music culture.
