VNDMG – ‘Facing Ghosts’

VNDMG – ‘Facing Ghosts’

West Coast Bass hero and master of epic splits, VNDMG (pronounced Van Damage) has really come into his own in his latest release,  Facing Ghosts.

Experimental, bass heavy, and gangsta-lean, this is ear candy of the highest order. Mixed genres, breaks, Hyphy bumps, and lazers interact with Autechre and Burial-style atmospheres and breakdowns to create a magic potion of bass music.

The essence of this evil potion is distilled in the Title track, ‘Facing Ghosts‘, which serves up a nod to the Prodigy and Chemical Brothers, while suddenly hitting you with cinematic future death-Trap epicness.

Abstract Rude steps in on  ‘Show Me‘ to momentarily steal the show, while contemporary bass favorites Bleep Bloop, Etched and OnHell deliver brutal remixes which you will no doubt  want in your music arsenal this Halloween.  Even the album artwork by Josan Gonzalez (F1X-2) is every bit as dope as the EP!  Needless to say, when the T-Shirts are out, I’m all over it like brown on rice.

I really cannot say enough good things about this release, so I’ll just let you go ahead and pay-what you want and listen right now:

Just tell ’em The Machines sent you.
